Crisis Management and Emergency Response Specialist

Praetorian is recruiting operators with crisis response, extraction planning, and emergency management backgrounds for high-stakes engagements where the margin for error is zero.

At a Glance

Praetorian Executive Protection LLC is hiring crisis management and emergency response specialists for engagements requiring extraction planning, safe room operations, crisis communications, and family reunification protocols. These roles demand operators who have trained and performed under real pressure, not classroom scenarios. Military combat operations, SWAT, and crisis intervention backgrounds are strongly preferred.

When a situation breaks down, there is no second chance to get the response right. Crisis management in executive protection means having the extraction plan built before anything happens, the safe room identified and prepped, the communications protocol rehearsed, and the family reunification plan ready to execute.

Praetorian handles high-stakes engagements where the principal's safety depends on operators who perform under pressure, not operators who talk about performing under pressure.

Extraction Planning

Pre-planned extraction routes, emergency vehicle staging, and rehearsed departure protocols for principals in elevated threat environments.

Safe Room Operations

Identification, preparation, and management of safe rooms and secure locations within residential, corporate, and event environments.

Crisis Communications

Coordinated comms protocols between the protection team, the principal's staff, local LE, and emergency services during an active incident.

Family Reunification

Pre-planned protocols to reunify family members during a crisis, including rally points, secure transport, and verified identity procedures.

What Crisis Management Looks Like in EP

Most executive protection firms do not have a crisis response capability beyond calling 911. Praetorian builds crisis protocols into every engagement from the start.

That means extraction routes are surveyed before the principal arrives, safe rooms are identified and stocked, comms protocols are established with local LE and medical services, and every operator on the detail knows their role in a crisis scenario. The work is done in the planning phase.

The execution phase just proves the planning worked.

Who We Hire for Crisis Roles

Operators with military combat operations backgrounds, SWAT team experience, crisis intervention training, or prior emergency management roles in executive protection. Christopher Smith built crisis management protocols during combat operations in Iraq, including detainee management SOPs and the first detention facility in Fallujah.

That level of operational planning under real conditions is what this role demands. If your crisis experience is limited to tabletop exercises, this is not the right fit.

The Difference Between Reactive and Proactive Crisis Response

Reactive means you scramble when something goes wrong. Proactive means the extraction plan is built, the safe room is prepped, the rally points are set, and the comms are tested before the principal walks through the door.

Praetorian operates on the proactive side. Every crisis management operator is responsible for building, briefing, and maintaining the crisis protocol for their engagement.

The goal is that no crisis ever reaches the point where the protocol needs to be executed, but when it does, the response is automatic.

Frequently Asked

Questions About This Role

What backgrounds qualify for crisis management roles?

Military combat operations (infantry, special operations, combat engineering), SWAT, crisis negotiation, emergency management, and prior EP crisis response work. The common thread is real performance under pressure, not just training certificates.

Does Praetorian handle active threat response?

Praetorian's crisis protocols include active threat response as one component of a larger crisis management framework. The focus is on prevention and extraction, not confrontation. But when the situation demands it, operators are expected to perform.

Are crisis management roles scheduled shift-based or recurring?

Both. Some engagements are tied to specific events or travel with elevated threat profiles. Others are ongoing crisis management roles embedded within long-term residential or corporate protection details.

How does compensation compare to standard EP roles?

Crisis management specialists command rates at the upper end of Praetorian's compensation structure, reflecting the specialized training and the stakes involved. Rates are discussed during the hiring process.
